Channing Tatum Bergabung dengan Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Aktor yang akan memerankan Gambit, Channing Tatum akan bergabung dengan proyek film Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Hal ini terungkap melalui pernyataan Tatum di akun Twitter pribadinya. Ia akan bergabung dengan Pedro Pascal yang juga baru dikabarkan untuk terlibat dalam proyek ini. Sebelumnya Taron Egerton juga telah memberikan sebuah informasi terselubung mengenai kemungkinan kembalinya Colin Firth ke film Kingsman.
Sutradara film pertamanya Matthew Vaughn kembali mengarahkan sekuel ini, sedangkan Taron Egerton akan kembali berperan sebagai Gary “Eggsy” Unwin dan Colin Firth yang karakternya sudah meninggal di film pertama dirumorkan akan kembali bermain di sekuel ini dalam adegan flashback.

Pihak 20^th Century Fox juga telah menentukan Juliane Moore sebagai artis yang akan memerankan karakter villain di film tersebut. Moore dikabarkan akan memerankan seorang tokoh penjahat bernama Poppy. Artis pemenang Oscar, Halle Berry juga digadang oleh pihak Fox untuk berperan sebagai pimpinan CIA dalam sekuel ini.
Untuk latar belakang kisah film kedua ini nantinya akan menitik beratkan karakter Eggsy yang telah matang dalam dunia spionase serta akan berfokus pada cabang baru organisasi ini di negara Amerika Serikat.
Film Kingsman mendapat kesuksesan luar biasa dengan pendapatan domestik sebesar $128 juta (sekitar Rp 1,7 triliun) dan pendapatan dari seluruh dunia sebesar $285 juta (sekitar Rp 3,8 triliun). Film yang diadaptasi dari graphic novel karya Mark Millar dan Dave Gibbons ini mempunyai formula perpaduan komedi dan dunia spionase yang sangat ampuh dalam memikat penonton.
Kingsman: The Secret Service menceritakan organisasi mata-mata elit bernama Kingsman. Organisasi ini merekrut dan melatih para anggotanya untuk menghadapi ancaman terorisme. Film ini dibintangi oleh Colin Firth (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Michael Cain(Interstellar), Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Mark Strong (Green Lantern), Taron Egerton (Testament of Youth), Sofia Boutella (Monsters: Dark Continent) dan Sophie Cookson (Emperor).
Kingsman: The Golden Circle direncanakan untuk rilis pada tanggal 10 Juni 2017.

James Cameron akan Membuat 4 Sekuel Avatar

Kabar gembira datang untuk pecinta film Avatar, karena sang sutradara James Cameron akan menghadirkan 4 sekuel film ini dalam beberapa tahun ke depan. Melalui acara CinemaCon beberapa waktu lalu, Cameron menyatakan bahwa ia akan membuat film Avatar jauh lebih berkembang. Sebelum diumumkannya 4 sekuel ini, beberapa bulan lalu rumor yang berkembang menyatakan bahwa Cameron hanya akan membuat 3 sekuel untuk film Avatar.

“So far, what I am seeing in pure imagination is far beyond the first film,”
“We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic project, making four epic films, each of which stands alone but together forms a complete saga,”

James Cameron sendiri telah menunjukkan concept art untuk sekuel Avatar ke beberapa orang, dan setelah melihat concept art tersebut beberapa dari mereka terperangah. Selain itu, berkaitan dengan Screening Room, Cameron yang tak setuju dengan ide start-up ini menegaskan bahwa keempat sekuel Avatar akan dibuat eksklusif untuk versi layar lebar.

Sebagai penyegar ingatan Avatar yang dirilis pada 2009 silam dibintangi oleh Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez,dan Stephen Lang. Film ini menceritakan tentang Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) seorang mantan Marinir Amerika Serikat yang kedua kakinya lumpuh. Ia kemudian terpilih untuk berpartisipasi dalam program Avatar untuk menggantikan kembarannya yang meninggal dunia. Proyek ini memungkinkannya bisa berjalan kembali. Jake kemudian dikirim menuju ke Pandora. Planet ini merupakan habitat dari suku Na’vi, makhluk yang mirip manusia dengan kehidupan primitif. Sebagai “pilot” dari program Avatar, Sully dan dekannya menyusup ke dalam kehidupan suku ini. Sully kemudian jatuh hati pada kehidupan dan pandangan hidup suku inidan juga jatuh cinta kepada seorang penduduk Na’vi bernama Neytiri. Dan dari sinilah konflik film ini berkembang. Avatar merupakan pemegang rekor all time box office untuk peredaran diseluruh dunia sampai saat ini dengan penghasilan sebesar $2 Triliun.
Avatar 2 akan dirilis pada hari Natal tahun 2018; Avatar 3 pada hari Natal tahun 2020; Avatar 4 pada hari Natal 2022; dan Avatar 5 pada hari Natal tahun 2023.

“Tom Cruise,” film critic David Thomson wrote in a 2010 tribute, “is 48.  At that age, Gary Cooper had just made ‘The Fountainhead,’ Bogart had done ‘The Big Sleep,’ and Montgomery Clift … well, he was dead.”
Leonardo DiCaprio is 41, and he has done more good work than Tom Cruise had at that age. In fact, DiCaprio had done more great work by age 31, by which time he had already made “This Boy’s Life,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “Total Eclipse,” “Romeo + Juliet,” “Titanic,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Gangs of New York,” “The Aviator” and “The Departed.”
Now that DiCaprio has won his first Oscar on Sunday night (of five nominations) it might be time to toss this question out: Is Leonardo DiCaprio the greatest movie star ever? Has he given more excellent performances in more critical and financial hits than Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Cooper, Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington … or anybody?
Before you answer that question, consider that since turning 31, you could add to DiCaprio’s film list “Blood Diamond,” “Shutter Island,” “Inception,” “The Great Gatsby,” “The Wolf of Wall Street” and, now, “The Revenant.”
Over the last 20 years, there have probably been bigger box office stars, but surely DiCaprio would have topped Cruise and Johnny Depp if he had played it safe with “Mission Impossible” or “Pirates of The Caribbean” or some other bloated and predictable franchise film.  No other star with DiCaprio’s kind of leverage has taken such enormous chances  — and scored such enormous payoffs.
In his first professional job at age 5 – or so the legend is printed  –  he was kicked off the set of “Romper Room” for being disruptive.  The next 15 years or so may seem like the inevitable arc of a gifted child star – commercials that practically made his face recognizable before high school.

The 88th Annual Academy Awards are underway in Tinseltown tonight, bringing film's finest professionals under one roof to celebrate all they've achieved.
Also present at the ceremony? One of the largest collections of beautiful, expensive, contemporary designer clothes on Earth.
Fortunately for us, few of said stars can actually get into the Oscars without cameras capturing the process – for better or for worse, depending on how they look.
Bright colours, backless gowns and embellishments galore held strong as red carpet trends at the Oscars this year, but, as always, there were standout surprises in store from some of Hollywood's heaviest hitters.
Here are some of this year's best – and worst – style choices, based on the reaction of critics, audience members, and CBC News staffers.

Swedish actress Alicia Vikander was pegged as one to watch on the awards show circuit early this season, and the ingenue-turned-Hollywood 'it girl' has yet to disappoint with her red carpet choices. The custom Louis Vuitton gown she wore to the 2016 Oscars, combined with a chic, on-trend half-up top knot, had Twitter talking about the overall look's Beauty and the Beast vibes –  and hailing the actress for channeling her inner Disney Princess (in a good way) to accept the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in The Danish Girl.

Irish actress Saoirse Ronan turned heads and dropped jaws when she arrived to the 2016 Oscars in this sparkling green stunner by Calvin Klein. The 21-year-old star of Brooklyn told E! that she wore green (as she has in the past) to represent her home country – though her look this year was decidedly sexier than it was a few years back. As New York Times style editor Stuart Emmrich put it, "That Atonement girl is all grown up."

Kerry Washington in Versace

True style stars stay away from the tried and true, because who's there to set trends if everybody follows them? Kerry Washington opted for a modern look to present at the 88th Annual Academy Awards with this black and White Versace number comprised of leather and chiffon. "I really respect and actually admire some of the people who are not here tonight, I really get it, but for me, I felt like my voice — in my heart — my voice is best used at the table," said the actress when asked on the red carpet about boycotts over diversity at the Oscars. "As a new member of the Academy, I really want to be a part of the conversation so there is institutional change so we never have this again."

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture

J-Law missed her chance for a big red carpet entrance by arriving just as the show was beginning, but her style was too good for photographers to miss. The Joy actress stuck with Dior, once again, for the Oscars this year, which proved to be a solid choice – critics and casual movie fans alike are still raving over this sheer, lace gown and it's long, black feather train. This look is as fresh as her chic, platinum lob (long bob hairstyle, for the uninitiated.) Better late than never, indeed.

Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra had many on Twitter asking "who's that girl?" when she hit the red carpet in this spectacular white gown by Zuhair Murad. The "naked dress" trend may be over, but if reaction to Chopra's glam take on it is any indication, we could be seeing even more sheerness on starlets in the future. Chopra, who stars in the ABC television series Quantico, has been documenting her first-ever Oscars experience on Instagram and Twitter since arriving in Los Angeles on Saturday.
